Way too many people take their feet for granted. That is until something goes wrong or they start to hurt. You don’t need to be a seasoned runner to experience sore feet. So, do you want to know how you can keep your feet happy? Then keep reading because I am going to give you 5 super simple tips to keep them happy.
- Pick the Right shoes
Yep, my first tip is the classic “make sure you have the right shoe for you”. Slipping on sandals or thongs in summer is way too easy, and a nice pair of boots aren’t so bad in the winter, right? But before you start wearing them everyday, make sure you know what foot type you are, and what shoe is best for you. - Got a tennis ball?
My second tip is to grab a tennis ball. If you are at work or on the couch watching television, do five minutes of foot yoga! Roll your feet over a tennis ball, it will give your feet a nice stretch and work some of those sleepy muscles in your legs.
- Change things up
If you are an office worker, stand up every 30 minutes to stretch and go for a quick walk around the office or the block then sit back down. This allows your feet to get the circulation going again. If you are on your feet all day, try the opposite and sit down every 30 minutes, grab a water, relax and breath.
- Soak it up!
We all need to be pampered every now and again. Sitting down after a hard day or week and soaking your feet will not only relieve the achiness but it also helps with callouses and dry flaking skin. Don’t attempt to attack these callouses yourself – see an expert for this.
